Big action taken on cow smuggling, 5 arrested while taking cattle to slaughter house
Balod. SP has given instructions to take strict action against cow smuggling in the district. On which police station in-charge Balod Inspector Ravi Shankar Pandey has formed different teams and is checking the vehicles by installing MCP. During this time, information was received from the informer that near village Sankara (Karhibhadar), a pickup truck carrying vehicle number CG05 AJ 7508 was carrying cattle for slaughter.
On the information on which constables Manish Rajput, Lavan Singh Rajput, Vivek Ananddhir, Nageshwar Sahu, under the leadership of Sub Inspector Nand Kishore Sinha of Balod police station, went to village Sankara (A) and laid siege to it, after catching 05 accused and the pickup vehicle, after checking, 08 cattle were thrashed. It was found filled in a teacup, on which crime number 579/2023, Section 4, 6 of Chhattisgarh Agricultural Animal Testing Act 2004 and Section 11 (d) of Animal Cruelty Act was registered in Police Station Balod.

- Abdul Shaeed, father Abdul Aziz, age 48 years, Sakin Ward No. 13, Pathanpura, near Kuba Masjid, Murtijapur police station, Murtijapur district, Akola (Maharashtra).
- Mohammad Khan, father Ramzan Khan, age 69 years, village Muzgahan police station and district Balod.
