Big meeting of AAP, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was also present
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal convened a meeting with all AAP MLAs in the Delhi Assembly.
This meeting occurs in the backdrop of the Enforcement Directorate’s recent summons to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The ED had called for Chief Minister Kejriwal’s interrogation on November 2, but he did not appear on that day. In response to the summons, the Aam Aadmi Party cited that even during the British colonial era, there existed a provision requiring the issuance of a warrant before taking legal action. The principles of checks and balances are applicable to any police action, and it is a legal requirement to present a warrant before making an arrest. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) law lacks these essential checks and balances.
