Bihar: Account of Araria Lok Sabha seat, NDA or INDIA? Know what is the ‘juggling’ of figures

As the Lok Sabha elections 2024 are coming closer, the heat in the political circles is continuously increasing. All parties and constituents are claiming their victory, but only the public decides who will win. But it is the statistics that decide victory or defeat on any seat. Figures are history and it is on the basis of these figures that a leader claims victory. In such a situation, we are going to tell you about the statistics of Araria Lok Sabha seat. We will also give you information about caste equation.
Araria Lok Sabha seat
The electoral equation of Araria Lok Sabha seat is based on MY equation. However, the electoral battle here is not easy. No party or leader can claim victory wholeheartedly. Araria Lok Sabha seat came into existence in 1967 but it was not held by any single party. The honorable members of Parliament have been changing all the time. Even in 2014, when there was a Modi wave in the country, BJP could not win here and RJD got victory, whereas in 2019, RJD was defeated and BJP’s Pradeep Kumar Singh got victory. Pradeep Kumar has already been the MP of Araria.
When and who won?
Overall, if we look at the history of Araria Lok Sabha seat, Tulmohan Ram of Congress had won twice in a row in 1967 and 1971, in 1977 Lok Sabha elections Mahendra Narayan Sardar of Janata Party had won, in 1980 and 1984 Congress had won. Dumar Lal Baitha got a chance to become the Honorable Member of Parliament, Sukhdev Paswan of Janata Dal had won in 1989, 1991, 1996. Apart from this, in 1998, Ramjidas Rishidev had won from BJP. However, in 2014, RJD once again captured this seat. In 2014, despite the Modi wave in the country, RJD’s Taslimuddin won. However, in 2019, once again BJP candidate Pradeep Kumar Singh won and reached Parliament.

Overall, if put in one sentence, Congress won from Araria Lok Sabha seat three times, Janata Party won once and Janata Party won thrice, including general elections and by-elections. At the same time, RJD won twice while BJP won thrice. If seen from this perspective, a close contest can be seen between the current NDA component and the INDIA alliance this time.
NDA-INDIA on par in assembly elections
There are total 6 assembly seats in Araria. Which includes Narpatganj, Raniganj, Farbisganj, Araria, Jokihat and Sikti. Among these, BJP won on Narpatganj, Farbisganj and Sikti assembly seats, while JDU won on Raniganj seat, Congress on Araria seat and RJD won on Jokihat seat. In such a situation, if the fight is between NDA vs INDIA, then both the components are fully capable of giving a tough competition to each other.
NOTA’s role is also important
Although the public representatives claim all the votes, but the vote-grabbing leaders spoil the game. They try to take vote-grabbing leaders or candidates who are in the race to win the party and prevent them from contesting the elections by any means possible. For this, the candidate who wins all the tricks like Sama, Daam, Dand and Bheed is ready to adopt it. Amidst all this, if the public representatives do not pay attention to anyone, it is NOTA. NOTA has also played a big role in the 2014 general elections, 2018 By Elections and 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In 2014, 16,608 votes were cast in favor of NOTA, in 2018 By Election, 17,607 votes and in 2019, 20,618 votes were cast in favor of NOTA, which were more than the votes received by many parties.
2014 Lok Sabha election results
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, there was a Modi wave in the country but there was a different wave in Araria. Even after the Modi wave, BJP had a crushing defeat in Araria Lok Sabha seat. Taslimuddin got 4,07,978 votes, BJP candidate Pradeep Kumar got 2,61,474 votes and JDU candidate Vijay Kumar Mandal got 2,21,769 votes. That means the margin of victory between the winning candidate and the candidate who came at number two was almost double.
Despite being weak in 2018 By Election, RJD got victory
In the 2018 by-election, BJP once again expressed confidence in its defeated candidate Pradeep Kumar Singh. Whereas RJD made Sarfaraz Alam its candidate. BJP took a lesson from the defeat in 2014 and put in all its strength but this time also BJP
