Bilaspur Police is running de-addiction campaign, awareness program continues

Bilaspur. Bilaspur Police is running a campaign named Nijaat regarding de-addiction, the effect of which is also visible. Under this campaign, action is being taken by registering non-bailable cases against illicit liquor, ganja, drug injection and other drug related crimes. Apart from this, now the police is also conducting extensive public awareness programs and drug de-addiction counselling.

The aim of this campaign is to spread awareness among the people, especially the youth. For this, awareness banners and posters have been put up at many places in the entire city, at police stations, intersections, behind autos, hotels, cafes and public places. This campaign is spreading awareness through social media posts like Facebook and Instagram.

Seeing the success of the relief campaign, the police is now identifying such areas and villages of the city. Where drug trade takes place, the police will take action as per planning in these areas, so that the drug related trade can be ended. Due to this campaign, many shops selling ganja have been closed in the city, while on the other hand, the sale of medical intoxicants, drugs and illegal liquor has also been affected.
