BJP gave first OBC Prime Minister in the form of Narendra Modi: JP Nadda

Delhi. Congress has demanded reservation for OBC women in the Women’s Reservation Bill. Responding to Congress, JP Nadda said in Rajya Sabha on Thursday that Bharatiya Janata Party and NDA have given the country the first OBC Prime Minister in the form of Narendra Modi. On this, many opposition MPs and supporters of HD Deve Gowda got angry and started making noise in the House. These MPs said that the first OBC Prime Minister is HD Deve Gowda.

Nadda pacified these MPs and said that Deve Gowda is our own and he is speaking for Congress. Speaking in the Rajya Sabha on the Women’s Reservation Bill, BJP President JP Nadda said that we saw women as power, as goddesses and as givers of vision to the society. JP Nadda said that the Prime Minister told the world in G20 that this is not just women empowerment, but development happening under the leadership of women.

Nadda said that if we talk about Indian culture, the place of women here has been in economic autonomy. Women have made a special contribution in everything from spirituality to teaching. Talking about the Harappan period, Nadda said that the bronze dancing girl sculptures of that period show how much freedom women had in our society. It is a different matter that when we went through the period of slavery, the medieval period, the space for women’s upliftment which was there at that time, decreased. Giving the example of Indian terminology, Nadda said that our terminology also respects women like Gauri Shankar, Girija Shankar, Bhavani Shankar, Sitaram, Radheshyam. Despite this, the world should make us understand that Ladies First, if this is not a joke on us then what is.

Nadda said that we all know Ahilyabai Holkar in the world of spirituality. How they rebuilt temples tells us what kind of place women have had in our social and spiritual life. Referring to Rani Lakshmibai, Nadda said that we cannot forget her contribution in the fight of the revolution of 1857. Nadda also said that in the modern era, the 21st century is the century of women. Be it knowledge, be it science, be it education, be it military security, we are happy that today the women of our India have replaced themselves. He said that till now 12 women have become Chief Ministers in independent India. Women also struggled for a long time to get the right to vote. He said that in 1931, Sarojini Naidu had written a letter to the British government saying that she has to come elected and not nominated.
