BJP leaders met Deputy District Election Officer, demanded to increase security of ballot boxes
Mahasamund. Before the counting of votes is to take place in Chhattisgarh on December 3, the candidates are worried about irregularities. The situation is that the candidate himself is deployed outside some strong rooms for surveillance. Similar concern is being seen among the candidates of Mahasamund also.
Meanwhile, in Mahasamund, BJP candidates of three Vidhan Sabhas, under the leadership of BJP District President, met the Collector and the District Election Officer, demanding increased security of ballot boxes and keeping the ballot boxes in the strong room for voting through ballot paper. Memorandum submitted in the name to the Deputy District Election Officer.
BJP candidates said that these ballot boxes for voting through ballot paper have been kept in the treasury of each district headquarters. Complaints are being received from the entire state that there is excessive movement of unauthorized persons in the treasury due to which there is a strong possibility of manipulation in these ballot papers.
In such a situation, there is a need to increase security by increasing the number of security personnel engaged in protecting these ballot papers and by installing CCTV cameras. Apart from this, these ballot papers should be kept in the strong room instead of the treasury.
