BJP office sealed, action taken against opening it near polling booth

Kanker: The date of assembly elections in Chhattisgarh has been announced as soon as it has been announced. Regarding this, the officers and employees engaged in the elections are busy in removing the banners and posters put up in the district and erasing the wall paintings. Meanwhile, the Kanker District Election Department, adopting a strict stance, has sealed the election office of BJP which was opened without permission. It is being told that the BJP office was opened without permission at a distance of about 70 meters from the polling booth of Janakpur ward. The District Election Flying Squad team took action on this and sealed the BJP office.

It is noteworthy that, the Election Commission of India has announced the assembly elections 2023 to be held in five states on October 9. In this, the first phase of voting will be held on 7th November and the second phase will be held on 17th November, in which voting is to be held in two phases in Chhattisgarh. In this, voting will be done on 20 seats in the first phase and on 70 seats in the second phase. The election results of all five states will be declared simultaneously on December 3. With the announcement of the Election Commission, the model code of conduct has come into effect in all five election states.
