BJP opposed the demolition drive in Raipur Khurd
Chandigarh: The local unit of the BJP on Saturday staged a protest against the demolition of illegal constructions by the Chandigarh Administration in Raipur Khurd Village. Municipal councillor Harjeet Singh, BJP state general secretary Hukum Chand, councillor Manoj Sonkar, BJP state secretary Shashi Shankar Tiwari, district president Ravi Rawat, among others, joined the protest. They were later taken to Mani Majra police station and released later in the afternoon. TNS
ABVP forms new team for PU campus
Chandigarh: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, PU has formed new campus team for the academic session 2024-25. Parwinder Singh Negi was appointed as president and Dhruvika as secretary. Ashish Sharma, Muskan, Shashwat Khurana, Vishal Malik, Muskan Nehra, Prince Thakur, Aditya Sura, Yash Kapasiya and Gaurav Veer Singh Sohal were appointed as vice-presidents, while Narender Bhardwaj, Radhika Sharma, Dheeraj Singla, Niharika, Aarav Raghuvanshi, Ankit Bhidan and Azad Singh were appointed as joint secretaries. 130 screened at health camp
Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Chemists Association organised the second edition of a free health check-up camp at the community centre in Sector 46 on Saturday. Around 130 people attended the camp. The programme was supported by area councillor Gurpreet Singh Gabi and Market Welfare Association, Sector 46.
