BJP’s Prakash Reddy targeted Owaisi’s remarks
Hyderabad (ANI): Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Prakash Reddy on Sunday slammed All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi for his remarks against Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Muslim reservation in the state. Criticized.
“Ignorantly, he is talking; Unnecessarily, he is creating unrest among the people. All 13 categories are mentioned in GO. The 14th category includes all Muslims except ‘Sayyids’, who preach on a large scale. This is 1 per cent, Prakash Reddy told ANI in Hyderabad, the remaining 99 per cent Muslims come under the 4 per cent category of reservation. If Owaisi is unaware of this, then we are ready for debate.
After Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday vowed to scrap the 4 per cent “unconstitutional” Muslim quota and provide it to OBCs, SCs and STs if he comes to power in the state, Owaisi attacked Shah, saying it “BJP’s politics is of hatred”.
Addressing a public rally in Hyderabad’s Malakpet assembly constituency, the AIMIM chief said, “All Muslims do not get reservation, only those listed in the backward class get reservation. Amit Shah says that all Muslims get reservation to instill hatred among Hindus.” “Removing reservation means depriving backward and backward Muslims of employment opportunities.”
Responding to Owaisi’s remarks, Prakash Reddy alleged that the AIMIM chief was “deliberately” instigating communal sentiments ahead of the elections.
He said, “Muslims themselves will throw Owaisi out of this state and country, they will throw him out of politics.”
Speaking on Owaisi’s stand on UCC, Reddy said, ‘As far as UCC is concerned, if the people of this country want UCC in every part of the country and if you (Owaisi) do not accept it, then people will throw you out. Will give.
this country.”
He said, “Same is the condition of Section 370. He said that if you remove the section, the country will boil over and there will be communal riots. No such incident took place, not even a drop of blood was spilled, this was what great barrister Asaduddin Owaisi said,” he said.
Reddy said, “Without all this, the Home Minister and the Prime Minister removed it. Similarly, we will impose UCC by taking all religions together. Muslims are also demanding UCC. This is a fact. So you have to be careful while speaking about these two.” issues.”
Ahead of the Telangana elections, Amit Shah launched the BJP manifesto in Hyderabad on Saturday and said the assurances made in the manifesto are ‘PM Modi’s guarantee’ to the public.
Assembly elections will be held in Telangana on November 30 and counting of votes along with four other poll-bound states is scheduled for December 3.
In the last assembly election in 2018, the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), won 88 of the 119 seats, securing 47.4 per cent of the total vote share. Congress stood second with only 19 seats. (ANI)
