BMC raids eateries to check food safety

Bhubaneswar: BMC has conducted raids in eateries in Baramunda and Khandagiri areas of Bhubaneswar to check food safety. The food safety team of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) continued its drive to check the quality of food across the capital city.

BMC food safety team along with Team Shine conducted inspection at Baramunda bus stand and Khandagiri area, BMC shared through an X (formerly Twitter) post.

It is noteworthy that BMC had raided and destroyed all the stale and artificially colored food. Furthermore, samples were taken and sent to the laboratory for analysis.

Team BMC also imposed fines on eatery owners for violating the guidelines provided by the municipal corporation.
