Bodies of two youths drowned in Amti stop dam found

Durg. The dead bodies of both the youths who drowned in the Amti stop dam built on the Tandula river have been recovered. The SDRF team found the body after 12 hours of effort. Both the youths had gone to the Amti stop dam to wash the motorcycle, during which they were drowned in the river due to slipping. The case is of Anda police station area. According to the information, on Thursday afternoon, the deceased’s father Satan Thakur (29 years) and Shivam’s father Vicky Soni (19 years), residents of Anda, along with their friends had gone to the Amti stop dam on the Tandula river near Vinayakpur, some distance away from Anda.

Chumman took his bike to the stop dam for washing and was washing it with Shivam. During this, suddenly his leg slipped and both went into the fast current of the river along with the bike. Friends made noise but both were nowhere to be found. The people present nearby informed the Anda police, after which the SDRF team was called for investigation.
