Body of missing woman found in Karanjia jungle, family alleges murder

Karanjia: A body of a woman who had gone missing was found stuffed in a gunny bag near Kendumundi jungle under Karanjia police limits of Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday morning.The deceased woman has been identified as Nirupama Mahanta.Reports say, some onlookers spotted a gunny bag inside the jungle and informed the police about the incident. The police reached the spot and recovered the bag and found a woman stuffed inside the gunny bag.

The deceased woman family alleges that the in-laws must have killed their daughter. The police have detained Nirupama’s husband and father-in-law on suspicion of murder.

In order to further probe into the matter, the scientific team from Baripada will reach the spot and start their investigation.
