Nuapada: The body of a youth has been recovered from an abandoned well in Nuapada district of Odisha on Saturday. The incident took place in Bhuliasikuan village under Khariar Police Station limits in the district. He was reportedly missing for the last few days.
The deceased youth has been identified as Ratha Meher of Belpada village under Bangomunda police station limits.
As per reports, the youth was missing for the past few days. This morning, a few locals first saw the body of the youth floating in the water of an abandoned well near Bhuliasikuan village. They immediately informed the police about it.
It has been suspected that someone killed and threw him into the well.
After getting information Khariar police and fire department personnel reached the spot and rescued the body. Later, the police sent the body to the sub-divisional hospital in Khariar for autopsy.
Further investigation of the case is underway.
