Bomb explodes in PCB hostel room, young man’s palm blown to pieces
Colonelganj. Former IVV student Prabhat Yadav’s palm was blown off when a bomb exploded in room number 68 of the PCB hostel on Wednesday evening. The seriously injured former student has been admitted to SRN Hospital. During this time, another former student Pratyush also got injured. However he did not come before the police. After the incident, hostel superintendent Sujit Kumar has filed a case against the unknown at Colonelganj police station. Police investigated with the help of forensic team. The statement of the injured student has not been made yet.
Colonelganj police said that room number 68 of PCB hostel is allotted to university students Ayush of Pratapgarh and Vishal of Jaunpur. Prabhat Yadav of Ghazipur was earlier living in this room and studying for his post-graduation. Even after passing out, he kept coming and going in the room. On Wednesday evening around five o’clock suddenly a bomb exploded in the room and Prabhat’s hand was blown off. He also suffered serious injuries on his face and chest. Another youth Pratyush also sustained minor injuries. However he fled from the spot.
The hostel students took Prabhat to Bailey Hospital. Seeing the condition there the doctor informed the police. On the advice of doctors, Prabhat was referred to Swarooprani Nehru Hospital. His condition is critical due to chest injuries. Meanwhile, the police reached the hostel and called Superintendent Sujit and investigated. It was told by the IVV administration that both the students have passed out. After investigation, the police are suspecting that the way the student’s hand was blown off, it appears that an explosion occurred while tying a bomb. Action will be taken on the basis of the injured student and evidence.
PCB Superintendent ACK Singh said, information was received about a bomb explosion in room number 68 in which Prabhat Yadav and Pratyush were injured. Both have passed out from the hostel. This room is allotted to BA student Vishal and BSc student Ayush Singh.
