Raipur: A bookie has been arrested from Shastri Vegetable Market. According to the information, bookie Chandrakant Gupta, father Shambhu Prasad Gupta, age 46 years, address Vijay Nagar, near Shiv Mandir, police station Khamhardih, Raipur (Chhattisgarh), was arrested by the Golbazar police team while running betting near Shastri Market Vegetable Market under Golbazar police station area. .
After seizing Rs 2,370/- in cash and betting strips from his possession, crime number 293/23 Section 6 Chhattisgarh was registered against bookie Chandrakant Gupta in police station Golbazar. An offense under the Gambling Prohibition Act was registered and action was taken against the accused.
