Brajesh Pathak spoke on assembly elections

Lucknow: Days ahead of the Telangana Assembly elections, the last to be held this month, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has performed well in all the states and will form the government with a majority.
Pathak said, “The elections are in the final stages and the BJP has performed well in all the states. We will form the government with majority and wherever there is an opposition government, we will form the government with majority in those states also.” ANI on Monday.

Speaking on Congress’s allegations that BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) is working in a secret alliance with the BJP, he said, “These allegations keep coming up during elections. BJP has performed well in the southern states.”

The Deputy Chief Minister asked all members of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly to follow the new rules framed by the Speaker before the start of the winter session on Tuesday.

He said, “The new rule has been made by the Assembly Speaker. All members will follow the new rules. I request all the members to follow the new rules and work as per the instructions of the Speaker of the Assembly.”

After 66 years, the winter session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly will be held with new rules, in which leaders will be barred from carrying mobile phones, flags and banners in the House. As per Yogi Adityanath government’s initiative on women empowerment, women members in the Assembly will get priority to speak during the session.

Ahead of the November 30 elections, all major political parties in the state, including Congress, BJP and BRS, have intensified their campaigning process with the last date for campaigning on Tuesday.

In the last assembly elections in 2018, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), won 88 out of 119 seats, securing 47.4 per cent of the total vote share. Congress finished second with only 19 seats, while BJP did not get any seats.
