Broken glass of industrialist’s car and then absconded with a bag containing Rs 41 lakh

Sonipat. Thieves stole cash worth Rs 41 lakh by breaking the glass of an industrialist’s car parked outside the sub-tehsil of Rai village in Sonipat. When the industrialist and his driver reached near the car, the theft was discovered. After receiving the information, police arrived and started investigation.

Police are scanning CCTV to trace the thieves. According to the information, industrialist Virendra Bansal, resident of Gokul Nagar, Sonipat, had come to Rai sub tehsil in his car. He had come to get registered. He parked the car outside and went to meet someone.
Cash worth Rs 41 lakh was kept in a bag inside his car. The driver of the car, Ramesh, went towards him. Meanwhile, thieves broke the glass of his car and stole a bag containing Rs 41 lakh. Along with cash, some documents are also said to be in the bag.

When the driver and the industrialist came near the car, the incident came to light. Police station in-charge Mahendra Singh said that Rs 41 lakh was stolen by breaking the glass of the car. The industrialist had come to Rai sub tehsil for his personal work and during this time the tax was evaded. The case has been registered. At present the police is engaged in investigation.
