Brother-in-law and sister-in-law embraced death, dead bodies of both found hanging from the same noose

Korba. In the district, brother-in-law and sister-in-law have committed suicide by hanging themselves. Just a short distance from the village, the bodies of both were found hanging from the same noose on a tree. Police and family members are suspecting a love affair. The incident took place in Mohalla Udarda, a dependent village of Baira Gram Panchayat of Pasan police station area.

According to the information, when the villagers went out to work in the fields on Thursday morning, they saw the bodies of Umendra Gond (27) and Kalavati (34) hanging from a tree. On receiving the information the police team reached the spot. The dead body was taken down after Panchnama and sent for postmortem.

It is being told that both are married. Umendra has three children and Kalavati also has three children. Her husband works as a daily wage laborer and a farmer. When he woke up in the morning and did not see his wife, he thought that she must have gone somewhere. But after some time he got information that his wife and brother had hanged themselves. Pasan police station in-charge SK Vishwakarma said that the statement of the family members has been taken. Family members have expressed the suspicion of a love affair between the two. Umendra was a cousin. At present the police is investigating the case from all angles.
