Brother killed sister with a sharp weapon after finding out about her affair with a fellow laborer

Hardoi: A case of honor killing has come to light in Kachhauna Kotwali area of Hardoi district. Angered by the discovery of her love affair with a fellow labourer, the brother murdered his sister by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon. After this the body was thrown into a pit in a field five hundred meters away. An attempt was also made to burn the dead body to destroy its identity. The police have taken the murderer’s brother into custody.
Sajid Ali, a resident of Simour village of Pihani Kotwali area, along with his wife, children and sister Sahiba (16) works as a laborer at a brick kiln located in Ranso village of Kachhauna Kotwali area. On Wednesday, around 11 o’clock in the day, some villagers saw the half-burnt body of a teenage girl lying in a pit in a field, about 500 meters away from the brick kiln, and informed the police.
The police tried to identify the body. Within some time, Sajid identified the body as that of his sister Sahiba. Sajid accused Jameel, a resident of Madarpur of Atrauli police station area, who worked at a brick kiln, of murder. Additional Superintendent of Police East Nripendra, CO City Ankit Mishra reached the spot and interrogated Jamil and Sajid.
Murdered Sahiba by slitting her throat with a knife
When Sajid got suspicious, he inspected Sajid’s hut-like house and found Sahiba’s blood-stained clothes and blood stains on the ground. On being interrogated, Sajid’s wife told the police that it was Sajid who had killed Sahiba by slitting her throat with a knife on Tuesday night and threw the body in someone’s field.
Jamil had pulled Sahiba’s scarf
Additional Superintendent of Police said that during interrogation it was revealed that Jamil and Sahiba had a love affair. On Tuesday night, Jameel and Sajid were drinking alcohol at home. Meanwhile, Jamil had pulled Sahiba’s dupatta. Sajid had seen this. After Jamil left, Sahiba was beaten severely and then her throat was slit with a knife. Police have taken Sajid into custody. The body has been sent for post-mortem.

Meanwhile, here too the sister became close to a laborer named Jamil. According to Sajid’s wife, Sajid and Jamil sat together and drank alcohol on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, when Sahiba passed by, Jamil pulled her dupatta. After this, Jamil was abused and thrown out of the house and later Sahiba was beaten. Even after this he did not find peace, so he killed Sahiba by slitting her throat with a knife.
