BSF And Punjab Police Apprehend Drug Smuggler, Recover Two Packets Of Narcotics
Yet another alleged smuggling attempt via drone was foiled by a joint team of Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police on Tuesday afternoon after they apprehended a drug smuggler and recovered two packets of narcotics in Daoke village in Punjab’s Amritsar.
The recovery was made following a search operation launched by the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Punjab Police on specific information.
Notably, on Tuesday troops stationed at the border with Amritsar allegedly saw two people move. When the suspects saw the soldiers, they attempted to flee. BSF soldiers and Punjab Police pursued them and were able to nab one of them.
Two packets of narcotics suspected to be heroin (700gm approx.) were recovered from the farming fields of Daoke village in Punjab’s Amritsar.
