Budget to enrich every section of the country: PM Modi
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described the budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as historic and said that it is a budget that will take people of every section on the path of prosperity. He said, it will take our country to unprecedented heights of progress.
The PM praised Sitharaman and her team and said, this visionary budget will uplift and empower every section of our society, paving the way for a bright future for all. PM Modi said, in this budget, a new scheme has been announced to increase the facility of giving credit for the MSME sector. Important announcements have been made in the budget to take the manufacturing and export ecosystem to every district. This budget has brought a lot of new opportunities for our startups, innovation ecosystem.
The Prime Minister said, whether it is a fund of Rs 1,000 crore to promote the space economy, or the decision to remove the angel tax, many such steps have been taken in this budget. PM Modi said, in the last 10 years, about 25 crore people have come out of poverty. Taking this momentum forward, this budget will give more energy to the aspirations of our neo-middle class. Our young generation will get unprecedented opportunities. Education and skill development will reach a new level, which will boost the growth of our country. Also, this budget will empower the middle class more than ever!
The PM said, we have to make every city, every village, every house an entrepreneur. For this purpose, the limit of Mudra loan without guarantee has been increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. This will give strength to self-employment among small businessmen, especially women, Dalit, backward and tribal families.
The Prime Minister said, in the last 10 years, the government has ensured that the poor and middle class continue to get tax relief. In this budget also, a big decision has been taken to reduce income tax and increase standard deduction. TDS rules have also been simplified. Every taxpayer is going to get additional savings from these steps.
The PM said, a big focus of this budget is the farmers of the country. After the world’s largest scheme for food storage, now we are going to create vegetable production clusters. With this, small farmers will get new markets for vegetables, fruits and other produce and will get better prices.
Modi said, major announcements have also been made in today’s budget in the direction of ending poverty in the country and empowering the poor. It has been decided to build 3 crore new houses for the poor. Janjati Unnat Gram Abhiyan will connect 5 crore tribal families with basic facilities with saturation approach. Apart from this, under the Gram Sadak Yojana, 25 thousand new rural areas will be connected with all-weather roads.
