Building collapses in Thane, many feared trapped under debris

Thane (IANS). The front portion of a five-storey building collapsed on Thursday in front of Bhayandar Railway Station East in Maharashtra’s Thane district. The officers provided this information.

As per preliminary reports, the front portion of the Kirti Estate building suddenly collapsed. Some people may be buried under the debris.

Police, fire brigade and other agencies have reached the spot for rescue operations and more details are awaited.

It has been raining heavily in and around Bhayandar for the past three days, leading to water-logging in many areas.
