Bullet fired in police station, soldier dies

UP. A soldier posted on duty at Hasanganj police station in Unnao district was shot on the temple with a service revolver under suspicious circumstances. Suddenly there was a stir in the police station due to the sound of gunshot. At that time, the police personnel present there hurriedly took the injured soldier to the Community Health Center (CHC). Seeing the serious condition of the soldier, the doctors referred him to the Trauma Center in Lucknow. The soldier died during treatment. On receiving information about the incident, senior officials of the district reached the spot. Police have started investigating the matter.

Bulandshahr Devansh Tewatia, a resident of Nayawas of Gulavti police station area of ​​​​Bulandshahr, was recruited as a constable in 2019. His first posting was in Unnao. He was posted at Hasanganj police station from the police line. Devansh was posted at this police station for the last about 5 years. He had an accident about 3 months ago. Due to a serious injury in his leg, he went home for treatment. 20 days ago, when his health improved, he came back to Hasanganj police station. In view of the injury in his leg, he was assigned duty in the police station office itself. On Tuesday, he was on duty when suddenly a bullet was fired from his service revolver. The bullet hit Devansh directly on his temple. Due to which he fell on the ground, seriously injured. Seeing him, a woman constable present at the police station started screaming. Hearing the sound, other policemen present in the police station reached the spot and saw Devansh lying on the ground.

The policemen immediately took him to Hasanganj CHC. Where the doctor, seeing his serious condition, referred him to the Trauma Center in Lucknow.
