Palghar: At least 55 people, including 47 students, were injured in a collision between a bus and a truck in Maharashtra’s Palghar district on Friday. Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) officials said the incident occurred near Desai village in Wada tehsil. The corporation’s Thane divisional controller Vilas Rathod said the bus involved in the accident was operated by MSRTC and was carrying several school and college students.
The bus carrying a total of 70 passengers collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction at the time of collision on Chinchpada-Wada road. Rathore said that 55 of these passengers, including 47 students, were injured. He said none of the injuries were serious.
