Bus driver put children’s lives at risk while overtaking, vehicle went off the road

Jashpur: While overtaking, the high speed school bus went out of control and fell off the road. More than two dozen children were traveling in the bus at the time of the accident, fortunately they did not suffer serious injuries.

According to the information, the DAV school bus carrying children went out of control and fell off the road near Gram Panchayat Hathgada of Kansabel in the district. More than two dozen children were traveling in the bus, at the time of the accident some children were thrown out of the window and fell down. The children did not get hurt as the ground became wet due to rain.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver was driving the school bus at high speed. During overtake, it went off the road and got stuck due to wet ground. Seeing the incident, the nearby villagers rescued the children from the bus safely, while the bus was brought back on the road with the help of a tractor.
