Bus runs over youths selling vegetables, 3 killed

Mohali. Three people died in a collision with a private bus. Three youths of Handasara village of Laldu died after being hit by a private bus. At present, the police have taken the body and kept it in the mortuary and have started investigation. The identities of the deceased Rehan, Gagandeep and Salman, residents of Sattarpur village of Laldu, have been revealed. It is being told that all three people who died were below 20 years of age.

According to the information, at around 2.30 pm on Sunday afternoon, a private bus of Haryana was going from Ambala to Narayangarh. On the way, the bus collided with three youths who were selling vegetables at a street vendor in Jugaadu. According to eyewitnesses, the bus driver crushed three youths with his bus, Rehan and Salman died instantly and Gagandeep was taken to Ambala Hospital for treatment, where he is also undergoing treatment.

As soon as ASI Jatinder Singh came to know about the incident, he reached the spot and immediately got the body kept in the mortuary of Dera Bassi Hospital. The bus driver has now fled from the accident site. Police station in-charge Gurbir Singh said that further action will be taken after recording the statements of the family members.
