Businessman had murdered his wife by hiring a shooter, police revealed the secret within 72 hours
Jharkhand. Police have arrested four people, including her businessman husband Ravi Aggarwal, in the murder of 39-year-old Jyoti Aggarwal of Jamshedpur last Friday. Ravi Aggarwal had hired shooters for this on a contract of Rs 16 lakh. He was given Rs 3 lakh as advance and the remaining amount was to be given after the murder. Seraikela district police disclosed the entire matter on Monday. Ravi had hatched the conspiracy in such a way that everyone, including the police, felt that his wife was murdered by a criminal gang due to non-payment of extortion money. Initially, when such news spread, business organizations became agitated.
According to Ravi Aggarwal’s plan, the incident was carried out on Friday night on the banks of NH-33 in Chandil police station area of Seraikela district. Ravi Aggarwal had gone to Punjab Hotel for dinner with his two children and wife. While returning from there, he stopped the car on the side of the highway on the pretext of vomiting. At the same time, hired shooters Mukesh Mishra, Pankaj Kumar Sahni, Rohit Kumar Dubey reached the spot and killed Jyoti Aggarwal by shooting her on the head.
Seraikela SP Manish Toppo told in the press conference on Monday that Premchand Aggarwal, father of the deceased Jyoti Aggarwal, had given a written application. In this, he had accused his son-in-law i.e. deceased’s husband Ravi Aggarwal of shooting and killing his daughter as part of a conspiracy. To investigate this, SIT was formed under the leadership of Chandil SDPO, which revealed the incident within 72 hours and arrested all three shooters including Ravi Aggarwal.
Police have recovered a loaded country-made pistol, one live cartridge, a Swift car and several Android phones from them. According to the police, there was a feud going on between Ravi Aggarwal and his wife for a long time. He had attempted to murder her at least three times.
