CAA will not affect Muslim community: Shabbir Ali

Hyderabad: Although the Congress is openly opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), former minister and advisor to the Telangana government MD Ali Shabbir on Wednesday said that Muslims will not be affected by its implementation.

While talking to the media here, he told Muslims not to be afraid of CAA. “We have faith in the law,” he said.
Referring to corruption allegations leveled by Union Home Minister Amit Shah against the previous BRS government, he asked: “Why are Modi and Shah not taking any action. Why are they not ordering an investigation?”

Expressing happiness over the state cabinet’s decision to set up corporations for various communities, he said: “Although various communities demanded that corporations be set up for their benefits, BRS has not fulfilled their requests during its 10-year rule. neglected. But the Congress government is committed to providing funds to new corporations and will make efforts for the development and upliftment of all communities.
