Cabinet sub-committee meeting for paddy purchase on September 9
Raipur: The meeting of the cabinet sub-committee formed under the chairmanship of Food Minister Amarjit Bhagat to review the policy of paddy procurement and custom milling on support price in the upcoming Kharif marketing year 2023-2024 will be held on September 09. This meeting has been called at 11 am in the MLA Colony, Surguja Kutir of Puraina Raipur.
Cooperative and Panchayat Minister Ravindra Choubey, Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare Minister Tamradhaj Sahu, Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar and Higher Education Minister Umesh Patel will be present in the cabinet sub-committee meeting.
It is noteworthy that the state government has set an estimated target of purchasing 125 lakh metric tons of paddy from the registered farmers of the state in the upcoming Kharif marketing year 2023-24. It is noteworthy that due to the farmer-friendly policies and decisions of the state government, there has been a continuous increase in the number and area of farmers in the last four years. Agricultural production has also increased rapidly. Due to the special initiative of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, procurement of paddy as well as lifting of paddy, the sale of paddy has been completed easily.
