Car fraudster arrested, Used to cheat in the name of getting job in railways
Rajnandgaon: The fraudster has been arrested along with the car. According to the police, Yogesh Hirwani, father Kachruram Hirwani, age 24 years, resident of Acholi police station, Dongargarh, came to the police station on 02/09/2023 and lodged a report that accused 1- Sunil Patel, father Maksudan Patel, resident of Umarpoti Durg, 2- Rajesh Mahilange, Padmatara Khairagarh and others. 02 persons have cheated the applicant by taking Rs 18,50000/- (Rs eighteen lakh fifty thousand) in different installments in the name of providing him a job on the post of Ticket Examiner (TE) in the Railway Department. On that report, crime number 538/2023 section 420, 467,468,471,34 IPC was registered and taken into consideration. The applicant, while studying at Khairagarh Polytechnic College in the year 2022, got acquainted with Rajesh Mahilange, a resident of Padumtara, who told him about getting a job in the Railway Department. In return, he had demanded Rs. 130000/- (Thirteen Lakhs) and had introduced Sunil Patel, a resident of Durg, as his senior officer. The one who promised to get a job, came under the influence of both of them and due to financial crisis, he sold the old jewellery, gold and silver of the house and gave a total amount of Rs 130,000/- (thirteen lakh) through the bank. Got an appointment to appear before the Howrah Division Railway Manager through Speed Post on 18/11/2022, on which he appeared before the Howrah Division Railway Manager on 21/11/2022. Various documents were signed at the head office, service book was filled and a copy of the order for tanning was given. Where training was given for 45 days in Calcutta.
During the training, Rs 50 thousand and Rs 5 lakh in cash were given to the training officer on demand through bank. When the applicant became suspicious during the training, he returned to his home and kept evading the accused when they demanded money.
Considering the seriousness of the case, under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Abhishek Meena and under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Lakhan Patle and Police Sub-Divisional Officer Prabhat Patel, with the help of the cyber team led by Inspector Ramavatar Dhruv, the father of the accused Sunil Patel started searching for the address of the accused. Maksudan Patel, aged 39 years, resident of Umarpoti police station, Utai district Durg, was taken into police custody and interrogated on 04/09/2023. By giving false assurance in the name of getting a job in the Railway Department, Rajesh Mahilange Padumtara Khairagarh and two other persons have been accused of defrauding Rs 18,50,000/- (Rs eighteen lakh fifty thousand). Earlier accused Sunil Patel’s father Maksudan has been arrested and sent to jail. The accused in the case, Rajesh Mahilange, father Birju Ram Mahilange was absconding, whose address is being searched continuously. Information was received that Rajesh Mahilange was hiding in his house. On receiving the information, without any delay, he reached village Padumtara and surrounded him. On interrogation, the accused told that he has bought a swept car with the money taken from the applicant and Rs. 1,00,000/- Has been confiscated. In the case, the accused was arrested and sent to the court from where a jail warrant was obtained and he was sent to jail. The search for the addresses of other accused is ongoing. Will be arrested soon. The police officers who played an important role in this operation were Inspector Ram Avtar Dhruv, SUNI Dhannalal Sinha, SUNI Ramakrishna Anant, R. Milap Bareth, Arjun Ajgalle.
