Car rider hits Activa driver, one dead, other injured

Gurugram: A speeding Mercedes going towards the railway station from Rajiv Chowk in the district hit the Activa driver hard. Activa driver Rajesh Verma died on the spot in the accident. Actually, 55-year-old Rajesh Verma had left home at 5 in the morning to do yoga.
As soon as they reached Dhobhi Ghat area, a UP number Mercedes hit the Activa driver from Kabir Bhawan Chowk area. The collision was so strong that the Activa driver was dragged for a long distance. A 25-year-old youth walking on foot also got injured in this road accident. The young man also suffered serious injuries and has been admitted to the hospital.
The havoc caused by the speeding Mercedes was captured in CCTV cameras. In which it is shown that the Activa, which was running at a very slow speed, was overtaken by a fast Mercedes. The collision was so strong that even the air bags inside the Mercedes opened. However, Gurugram police reached the spot, took possession of the Mercedes and started investigating the matter.
