Career counseling workshop organized in Lakhimpur Girls College
Lakhimpur: In partnership with GNIOT Institute of Management Studies, located in Greater Noida, the Career Counseling Cell of Lakhimpur Girls College organized a comprehensive career counseling workshop especially for the students of the leading college from the North Bank of the state. The program took place at Gunjan Karan Memorial Conference Hall of Lakhimpur Girls College. Eminent personalities from the field, Ranjan K Barua, Advisor, Skill Employment and Entrepreneurship Development (SEED), Bodoland Territorial Area and Professor Modi Tomar, Dean, Outreach Engagement and CRC at GNIOT, led the workshop sessions. Both the speakers emphasized the paramount importance of career awareness in making informed decisions. Ranjan K Barua threw light on various aspects of career by highlighting the diverse opportunities available in UPSC, CDS, Railways, Banking and other sectors. On the other hand, Prof. Tomar focuses on honing the professional skills important to excel in job interviews, equipping students with the tools they need to thrive in the competitive job market. The workshop witnessed an impressive turnout, with 150 enthusiastic students eagerly absorbing the wealth of knowledge imparted. Their participation underlined the importance of such initiatives in shaping their future trajectory. Dilip Bora, Vice Principal of the college, expressed his heartfelt thanks to Boishnav Konch of Impact Media and Pradeep Dey of GNIOT for leading the implementation of the program. He also expressed his appreciation to all the members of the Career Counseling Cell for their meticulous arrangements to ensure the success of the event.
