According to the FIR, the seven accused took 105 tola gold worth Rs 42.08 lakh and Rs 36.65 lakh in cash from the victim on the pretext of performing rituals between January and November this year, a Vashi police station official told PTI.
He said that due to this incident the victim suffered a brain stroke and became paralyzed.
The accused threatened the victim to kill her relatives
She told that the accused used to threaten that they would kill her husband, daughter and son-in-law.
The seven were charged under the Indian Penal Code and provisions of the Maharashtra Human Sacrifice and Other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Prevention and Eradication Act 2013, but have not been arrested yet.
