Raipur. Raipur GRP has arrested Ganja smuggler at railway station. It is being told that on the basis of the informer’s information, a suspicious person was cordoned off at 22.25 hrs on the basis of the informer’s appearance, dress and belongings near the toilet located at Platform No. 07 Durg end of Raipur Railway Station. On checking the two air bags kept with him, it was found to be cannabis, on asking his name and address, his name – Ravi Shankar Gupta, father – Ramrup Gupta, age – 25 years, resident – Village Sohas, Post Dagdiha, Police Station – Kota, Distt. Satna (M.P.) told. On checking both the air bags kept with him, 02 packets of ganja were found, whose total weight was 20 kg, 180 grams of intoxicant ganja, worth approximately 201800 / (Rupees two lakh one thousand eight hundred), the said accused was arrested under the NDPS Act. Arrested after taking due action.
During interrogation, the accused told that he was about to buy the recovered ganja from Norela Road, Odisha and go to Satna (M.P.) to be sold by rail that he was caught. The accused caught in the proceedings and the seized narcotic drug Ganja, including the seized Ganja, were handed over to the Government Railway Police Station Raipur along with complete documents for further action, on which crime number-146/2023 was registered by the Government Railway Police Station Raipur. Section-20 (B) NDPS Act dated 26/07/23 filed a case against the said accused before Hon’ble Special Court NDPS Act. Presented before Raipur.
