Cattlemen are being fined for finding cattle on the roads

Bijapur. The district administration is taking action to prevent the movement of stray animals on the roads in the district. If animals are found roaming in roads, public places, gardens in rural areas, a fine will be charged from the concerned parents. Also the animals will be sent to the nearest Kanji House. In case of repetition, action will be taken against the cattle herders under the Animal Trespass Act along with the fine amount.
As per the instructions of Collector Rajendra Kumar Katara, the departmental staff is taking action against stray cattle and tricking cattle herders. Deputy Director Livestock Department Dr. SS Rajput said that continuous action is being taken by the joint team of the departmental staff on the national highway from Bhairamgarh to Bhopalpatnam and fines are being collected from cattle herders. The action taking teams mainly include the staff of urban body, livestock department, police and traffic police. Dr. Rajput told that stray animals are being kept in Kanji houses while reactivating many Kanji houses. At the same time, more than 5 thousand amount has also been recovered. In Sangampalli village of Bhopalpatnam, 16 animals were confiscated and fine was collected. In which a fine of Rs 200 has been fixed for cow and Rs 300 for buffalo.

So far 416 animals in the district have been fitted with radium strips around their necks, which start flashing when there is light in the night, due to which the drivers are getting convenience and accidents will also reduce. Along with radium belt, tatting of stray animals is also being done. The departmental staff is continuously doing the work of getting the road free from stray animals and cattle and curbing accidents.
