CBI court orders release of Lalu Yadav’s passport
Ranchi (IANS) | The special CBI court in Ranchi has allowed the release of passport from Rashtriya Janata Dal President and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav. For this, Lalu Yadav had applied in the court through his advocate Anant Kumar Vij. Today, after hearing this application, the special CBI court has ordered the release of Lalu Yadav’s passport.
Lalu Yadav has been convicted in four fodder scam cases. In all, after spending about two and a half years in jail, he got bail from the High Court. As per the condition of bail, his passport has to be deposited in the court and he can take and use his passport only with the permission of the court.
Earlier in September last, the court had ordered the release of his passport for treatment in Singapore. He was given a kidney transplant there. It is being told that Lalu Prasad Yadav has to go to Singapore once again for a health checkup.
