CBI in action mode in CGPSC scam case

CBI has registered a case on the request of the Chhattisgarh government to investigate the previously registered cases against the then chairman, then secretary, then controller of examinations, Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) and others, alleging that they misused their official position by recruiting their son, daughter, relatives, their acquaintances, who were allegedly ineligible candidates for various posts of Chhattisgarh government in the examination and interview conducted during the year 2020-2022.

On February 15, a candidate from Balod had given a written complaint in Arjunda. The candidate had appeared in the PSC exam in 2021.
CGPSC recruitment exam was conducted for 171 posts in 2021. The pre-exam was conducted on 13 February 2022. 2565 candidates passed in it. After this, 509 candidates passed in the mains held on 26, 27, 28 and 29 May 2022. After the interview, the selection list of 170 candidates was released on 11 May 2023.
