CBSE’s capacity-building event for teachers in Solan
A two-day capacity building programme on ‘Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices’ concluded at Gurukul International School in Solan.
Organised by the CBSE’s Centre of Excellence, Panchkula, the event featured Ravi Sharma and Ranjana Bhardwaj as resource persons.
The two elaborated on the New Education Policy, highlighting its impact on assessment and evaluation practices. They emphasised on the importance of Competency-Based Education (CBE) and its role in shaping future educational frameworks.
A significant portion of the programme focused on ‘Bloom’s Taxonomy’, guiding educators on how to align competency goals and learning outcomes with the latest CBSE guidelines to create effective question papers.
The sessions underscored the importance of holistic progress cards and the holistic development of children.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Luckhvinder Arora stressed the necessity of such programmes for the continuous professional development of teachers in today’s evolving educational landscape. She expressed her gratitude to the resource persons and the organising team for their efforts in enhancing the skills and knowledge of the participating educators.
