CCTV footage of bikers robbing gold chain surfaced, police searching
Bilaspur: In the Torwa police station area of the city, the bike riders once again looted a chain from a woman and fled away. The woman living in Torwa was going to the temple for worship as usual. During this time the accused committed the incident. The police could not find any clue about the chain snatchers in the case till late night. CCTV footage of the chain snatching incident has also surfaced.
Actually, Torva police station in-charge Kamala Pusam said, “Asha Sharma, a resident of Hemu Nagar, was going to the temple to worship as usual on Saturday. Then two youths riding a bike arrived near Chaitanya School from behind and pounced on the old woman’s neck. They looted a chain worth one and a half tola and ran away. During this, the old man raised noise and chased him for some distance, but the bike rider easily ran away from there. The old man informed about this by going to Torwa police station.”
On receiving the complaint, the police went to the spot and made inquiries. Also, after scanning the CCTV footage installed nearby, the police has found the footage of the accused. In the video, a youth riding a bike is seen going. But even after getting the footage, the police has not been able to trace these bikers.
