CEO handed over the list of newly elected MLAs to the Governor
Raipur. CEO Reena Kangale handed over the list of newly elected candidates to Governor Harichandan and requested for the formation of the sixth assembly of Chhattisgarh. Joint CEO Nilesh Kshirsagar and other officers were present with him.
The code of conduct was implemented in Chhattisgarh on 9 October. And the elections were held in two phases on November 7 and 17. The Commission will also issue notification for the dissolution of the fifth Assembly tomorrow itself. With this, 32 Congress MLAs and three BJP MLAs will become former. They will now be eligible for pension.
At the same time, salary and allowance package worth lakhs of rupees will be started for all 90 MLAs. 13 out of 54 BJP will become Chief Ministers and Ministers, they will be given salary and allowances of that level. Considering the factional and regional balance, 10-12 MLAs can be made deputy ministers as parliamentary secretaries. So some others will also be made vice-chairmen of various development authorities and chairpersons of corporation boards.
