CG: A cunning thief who committed thefts was arrested

RAIPUR: Veer Abhimanyu, a cunning burglar, and two others have been arrested. Veer Abhimanyu has been jailed in over a dozen cases of theft/burglary registered in Kabir Nagar and DD Nagar police stations. Hemlal Sonkar, a resident of Mahodavghat Raipura near Shivam Vihar Colony Sai Mandir, had lodged a report in DD Nagar on June 13. He is an electrician. He had gone to Rajim with his family on June 12 at 5 pm after locking his house. When he returned the next day at around 3 pm, he found that the locks of the main gate, room and cupboard locker were broken. The silver jewellery, electric wires and cash kept in it were missing. Some unknown thief had entered the house through the stairs from the roof of the house. On this report, DD Nagar police registered a crime under Section 457, 380 IPC and started searching for the accused. During this time, information was received about the involvement of clever burglar Veer Abhimanyu. He was caught and on strict interrogation, he confessed to committing the theft along with his partner Tilak Sagar. He was also arrested. Both of them had also stolen a bike from Khudmuda village of Amleswar. All the stolen items worth Rs. 1.10 lakh were seized from them.
