CG BREAKING: Accused arrested in woman rape case

Raigarh. On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel, prompt action is being taken on the complaints related to women in the police station. In this episode, yesterday on 10/07/2024, on the report of rape lodged by the woman in Lalunga police station, Lalunga police station in-charge Inspector Rajesh Jangde took immediate action and arrested the accused within 24 hours and sent him on remand. On the report of the victim woman, FIR and statement were taken by female sub-inspector Maan Kunwar. The victim told that her husband had gone out to work in August 2023. She lived with the children in her in-laws’ house. One day, finding her alone, Jailal Nagvanshi of her in-laws’ house forcibly had physical relations with her. The woman did not tell anyone about the acts of Jailal Nagvanshi due to public shame. After that, Jailal had physical relations with her in-laws many times. Even when the husband came home in May 2024, Jailal used to come to the house. She told her husband about the misdeeds of Jailal Nagvanshi and a report was lodged at the police station. On the woman’s complaint, a case number 150/2024 under sections 376, 376(2)(n) IPC was registered against the accused, Jailal Nagvanshi, 32 years, at Lalunga police station. TI Rajesh Jangde raided the accused’s village, took him into custody and brought him to the police station. He has been sent to judicial custody today.
