CG CRIME: Dead body of a youth found in a mine, 2 murderers arrested within 24 hours
Bilaspur. Bilaspur. Police has revealed the brutal murder of a youth in Ashok Nagar Murum mine on Thursday. Sarkanda police has solved the murder mystery within just 24 hours and arrested two accused. Old enmity was hidden behind this murder, which reached a bloody end. According to the information, the deceased Khagendra alias Golu Thakur (31 years) lived alone in Ashok Nagar Murum mine. On the morning of 2 January 2025, his brother Laxman Bargah Thakur got information that Khagendra had been murdered with a sharp weapon.
He reached the spot and then informed the police about the incident. During the investigation of the incident, the police received information from the informer that there was a dispute between the deceased and Kamlesh Devangan on the night of the incident. Immediately verifying the information, Kamlesh Devangan’s address was searched. The absconding Kamlesh Devangan was taken into custody and interrogated. During interrogation, Kamlesh Devangan admitted to carrying out the murder along with his partner Sunny Devanand. He told that he killed the deceased Khagendra Singh by stabbing him with a knife. Police has arrested both the accused and is taking action by confiscating the weapon used in the incident.
