CG High Court issues notice to Central Government officers and Alliance Air
Bilaspur: The High Court has expressed displeasure over the slow pace of works at Bilasa Airport in Bilaspur. The court has asked state and central government officials and Alliance Air to submit their affidavits in two weeks, giving proper reasons.
It was said on behalf of the government that the work of Bilasa Dai Kevat Airport, Chakarbhatha is in progress. But after the last hearing on July 28, two weeks’ time was sought to give information about the present progress on the work, which the court accepted and kept the next hearing on September 7. The court has asked all the departments to submit a detailed report of their works. In the last hearing, it was told by the government that almost 90 percent of the works of flooring, ceiling, new bathrooms, ticket counter, medical room and approach road have been completed for the expansion of the terminal building. Currently, the work of removing some walls and glass partitions of the operational terminal building is underway.
93 crores have been given to the central government in exchange of transfer of land by the state government. After that till when the transfer of land will be done. This information could not be given by the center. On night landing, the state government told that civil work has been completed, electrical and boundary work is also going on.
