CG NEWS: An electric trap was laid for wild boars, a young man got caught in it and died
Korba News. Ganesh Kanwar, 23 years, son of Chaman Kanwar, a resident of Kachaura village of Urga, had gone to the forest of the village with a relative for direction field at night. During this time, an electric current trap was laid by an unknown person in the forest to kill wild pigs. Ganesh was seriously injured after coming in its grip.

After which, with the hope of breathing, the relatives took Ganesh Kanwar to the hospital in Champa for treatment, where the doctors declared him dead after examination. In the case, Urga police is taking legal action and starting investigation. The case of hunting of forest animals is continuously coming to the fore in Korba and Katghora forest divisions of the district.
While the case of hunting of leopard was reported in Katghora forest division recently, the case of hunting of wild pig often comes to the fore. Electric traps are laid in the forest to kill wild boars but even then the forest department team is unable to catch the people who commit such acts.
