CG News Drug department conducted new raids in many districts
Raipur. The team of Food and Drug Department raided medical stores in many districts including Raipur in Chhattisgarh on Monday. During this, the team collected samples from all the shops. It is being told that complaints were received about adulteration and fake products like food supplements, multivitamins, baby food.
In fact, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai had held a meeting of officers a few days ago. Many instructions were given in it, after which the team of the Drug Department raided 19 medical stores in Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur, Bastar and Surguja divisions. Samples of suspicious medicines and food supplements were seized from there.
The Controller of Food and Drug Administration said that quality, packaging and labeling, false and misleading, advertisement, sale and storage were checked as per the SOP of Food Safety Standards Act 2006 and Rules 2011. Also, the samples collected by the officials from all food establishments and medical stores have been sent to the food testing lab. Action will be taken against those institutions which have not obtained valid food and drug registration after the investigation report. Their samples were sent for testing

The team of Food and Drug Administration Department formed a joint team and collected samples by visiting 4 medical stores in Raipur, 4 in Durg, 5 in Bilaspur, 3 in Surguja, 3 in Bastar.
