CG Police raids Bihar, main drug smuggler arrested
Balod: The main kingpin of drug supply has been arrested from Patna. A team was formed and an informer was deployed to nab the smugglers selling illegal drugs. On 29.05.2024, information was received that two persons were carrying a large quantity of drugs in a motor cycle no. CG24F7028 towards village Padkibhath bypass road and were looking for a customer to sell the drugs. Upon receiving the information, two persons were seen standing on the Tandula river bridge in village Padkibhath bypass road. On the basis of suspicion, when they were approached and asked for their names and addresses, they told their names to be Vishwapati Gorai and Dharmendra Yadav, residents of Balod. When asked about the item filled in two white coloured plastic bags kept in the motor cycle and why they were standing there, they started giving evasive answers. On suspicion, two white coloured plastic bags kept in the motor cycle no. CG24F7028 (their own) were opened one by one and searched. The two bags were found to be filled in a black and brown coloured carton. (1) ALPRAZOLAM TABLETS 12 packets (2) ALPRAZOLAMTABLETS -07 packets (3) TRAMADOL ~ CAPSULS- 21 packets were found and on opening the other white coloured sack, inside it two cartons of black, brown and blue colour filled TRAMADOL CAPSULS- 72 packets were found which on weighing on the spot, the total weight of narcotic tablets and capsules was 10.718 kg whose cost was Rs. 144300 and motor cycle no. CG24F7028 worth Rs. 20000, total amount Rs. 164300 was seized and taken into police possession and a case was registered against the accused Vishwapati Gorai and Dharmendra Yadav in Police Station Balod under Crime No. 290/2024 Section 22 (C) NDPS Act and they were duly arrested and sent on judicial remand.
In the investigation of the above case, after getting information about the main supplier of narcotic drugs, a small team was sent to Bihar under the leadership of SDOP Devansh Singh Rathore, consisting of Inspector Ravi Shankar Pandey, Sub Inspector Dharam Bhuarya, Constable Bhop Singh Sahu, Constable Puran Devangan. In which the team, after getting information about the pharma of the main accused of the case, Rajiv Kumar, did continuous recce in the area of Patliputra Police Station, Kadamkuwan Police Station, Pirbahor Police Station, went to many medical pharmas in local attire and identified Trishul Pharma in the densely populated area. But due to the pharma shop being closed, information about the accused was not being found. On technical basis, the team camped in that area to find the address of the house of accused Rajiv Kumar and surrounded him and caught him. On interrogating the accused Rajiv Kumar, he told that he had opened a medical firm named Trishul Pharma in Nawada (Bihar), 120 km away from Patna, so that he could buy and sell narcotic drugs. When the team went to Nawada and searched the firm, it was found that the firm did not have any kind of medicine, drug license or related documents. During interrogation, it was revealed that Trishul Pharma was used only to buy banned medicines from the company, since the pharma was only on paper and was not being operated in reality, due to which the accused was confident that no one would ever catch him if a raid was conducted at his firm. The accused in the case, Vishwapati Gorai, a resident of Balod, had ordered banned medicines worth about six lakhs in the name of Trishul Pharma Nawada (Bihar) from the accused Rajiv Kumar. The team that went to Bihar in the said case included SDOP Balod Shri Devansh Singh Rathore, Police Station Incharge Balod Inspector Ravi Shankar Pandey, Sub Inspector Dharam Bhuarya, Constable Bhop Singh Sahu, Puran Devangan.
