‘Chak De India’ actor Rio Kapadia passes away at the age of 66
Mumbai (IANS). Bollywood actor Rio Kapadia, who worked as a commentator on Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Chak De India’, died on Thursday at the age of 66. Kapadia breathed his last at 12.30 pm on Thursday.
A close friend of Kapadia released an official statement which read, “Dear friends, with great regret I wish to inform you that our dear friend Rio Kapadia passed away today at 12:30 pm.”
The cause of his death is currently unknown. Kapadia’s last rites will be held on Friday in Goregaon area of Mumbai.
Apart from ‘Chak De India’, Kapadia has also worked in ‘Happy New Year’, ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Mardaani’.
She also acted in other series like ‘Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke’ and Siddharth Tiwari’s ‘Mahabharat’ and ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Kusum: Ek Aam Ladki Ki Kahani’.
The actor was last seen in ‘Made in Heaven 2’, in which he played Mrunal Thakur’s father.
