Challan action taken on speedy buses, police launched campaign
Dhamtari: On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Prashant Thakur, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Madhulika Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police Traffic Mani Shankar Chandra, on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Prashant Thakur to control the speed of vehicles running at over speed, today, with the objective of safety of passengers and accident-free travel, the people traveling on National Highway 30. 15 passenger buses were checked. During the checking, challan of Rs 8000/- was imposed on 04 buses when they were found driving at high speed.
To ensure that the passengers do not face any kind of inconvenience during the journey, the drivers and conductors were instructed not to drive at over speed, not to seat more passengers than the capacity, and to reserve seats for women, children, elderly and disabled people. It was advised to paste the bus fare list at a visible place in the bus, to wear the prescribed uniform for the driver and conductor, to keep a first aid box in the vehicle, to have a fire extinguisher, not to misbehave with the passengers, to keep complete documents of the vehicle and to follow the traffic rules. .
