Chamoli accident: Chief Minister Dhami reached Gopeshwar district hospital and met the injured

Gopeshwar (IANS). Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Gopeshwar District Hospital on Thursday and met the injured of Chamoli accident and inquired about their well-being. During this, he also met the relatives of the deceased. Assured them of all possible help.

The CM paid tribute to the 3 Home Guard jawans who died in the incident at the police ground. BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj were also present along with the CM.

In fact, the painful accident that happened due to electrocution in Chamoli, Uttarakhand on Wednesday shocked everyone. Work was going on at the site of Namami Gange project on Wednesday. At the time of the accident, 24 people were present at the site. 16 people died in this accident.

Amit Saxena, executive engineer of Chamoli’s Energy Corporation, told that the third phase of electricity was down at night. The third phase was connected on Wednesday morning, after which current ran in the sewage treatment plant premises. LT and ST wires are not broken anywhere from transformer to meter, current is running in the wires after the meter.

Eyewitness told that the phone of the caretaker who stayed here at night was not ringing in the morning. After which the relatives came to the site and searched, then it was found that the caretaker had died due to electrocution. As soon as the information was received, many villagers along with the family members also reached the site. When he reached here, the police was probing the matter. During this, the current spread there again. Many people came in the grip of this.

At the same time, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the death of people due to electrocution. He said that the injured have been brought to Dehradun. There will be no shortage in their treatment.
